Rebuilding the Internet

When thinking about what the internet is and how I would rebuild it with analog tools, the theme that I thought of the most was connectivity.

For my project, I decided to represent connectivity with a paper chain connecting two people.

I thought this was a good way to represent and rebuild the internet because the internet is found on so many mediums, on phones, tablets, and other devices. We cannot be connected simply by computers, but we are connected by the broad internet as a whole.

We are also not connected solely by internet communication like online chatting, social media, or emailing, but we are also connected in the sense that when one person posts information on a site, and another person sees it, we are becoming more interconnected.

I made this paper link and people by cutting out paper and taping it together in rungs, and then drawing people and making them stand up with more paper.
